Billboard Music Awards 2012 Fashion Recap

Now you know that I can't forget about paying homage to the fashion at the Billboard Music Awards last night. Since there weren't a lot of stellar fashion trends last night just from the women, I included some men in here as well. I don't know if it's just me, but it seems like there weren't a lot of big names there that were that memorable on the red carpet. Anywho, here's who made my Dressed List.


Brandy - Looked amazing in this Herve Leger by Max Azria dress that fit so perfectly with her afro hair and just the look and feel of the music awards.

Katy Perry - Looked celestial in this Bluemarine purple gown. Congrats on being the only female recognized to have five #1 hit singles!

Monica - Pulled an Angelina on the white carpet. Talk about blending in, she looked beautiful!

Alicia Keys - Looked so chic and elegant in this black Azzedine Alaia gown that fit her curves so perfectly. I love her funky updo too!

Jordin Sparks - Kept in the nude with this pretty Diane von Furstenburg dress. This beauty looked amazing that night!

Nelly Furtado - All I can say is I love this Alberta Ferretti dress! Maybe the necklace overpowered this dress a bit too much though...

Usher - Okay Usher, we know you look fly in this electric baby blue suit! Props to you sir!

Swizz Beatz - Oh you fancy uh? I am definitely feeling this cream suit!

Robin Thicke - Rockin' the checkered jacket is the svelte voice Robin Thicke! I like this funky style!

Eric Benet - There are so many patterns going on here, but somehow it works for Mr. Eric Benet!

Some fashion trends that were highlighted last night were checkered jackets, pastel and nude colors and...LEGS! Show off your hard work in the gym with your beautiful legs! You deserve it, but don't forget to WORK IT!

Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks Lookin' Hott Together At Celeb Fight Nite

I didn't know that these two were a couple.

Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks were spotted at Muhammad Ali's Celebrity Fight Night in Phoenix, Arizona. They appeared to be lovey-dovey and having a great time. Jordin wore this flattering leopard gown brought into elegance with chandelier earrings and a pulled-back 'do. Jason Derulo sported a cut-out crocodile tux with a blinged-out neckbrace (he had an incident were he injured himself during a performance).

They both looked great; Jason's tux really gave me a second look.... interesting design.

Beauties at the Essence Magazine Charity Gala: Jordin Sparks, Tatyana Ali, Kelly Rowland (Who Looked Best?)

The Essence Magazine gala celebrated notable women of color, and in turn raised money to sponsor charitable organizations. The women who were there were glowing and looking their best!

Three women I chose for this post: Jordin Sparks, Tatyana Ali, and Kelly Rowland. All were spectacular in their own way. Jordin (above) wore this sparkling black number which actually was fitting for her last name, Sparks. The matching heels are a nice touch.

Tatyana Ali, from 'Fresh Prince' and TV One's "Love That Girl', had worn this gold ensemble that came together very well, her glowing skin, the hair to resemble the glamour of the '20s, the modern slash in the chest of the dress to provide a little awe at the 'creative cleavage', the gold pencil skirt, and befitting heels. I WOULD SAY SHE HAD THE BEST LOOK.

GOLD is really coming in strong for this year. We're going to see a lot of women choosing GOLD to go out on such a nice night. The value of GOLD is going up.... so why not?

Kelly Rowland: BEAUTIFUL GOLD DRESS; So-So makeup. I don't like seeing plastered makeup.

Jordin Sparks sparked the crowd at the Muhammad Ali Celebrity Fight Night a couple weeks ago wearing this awesome black mini-dress with a deep lace-esque cleavage and nude-colored heels. She was a STUNNER! This is going in my lookbook. Check out more pics of this SPARKLIN' HOTT BEAUTY:
