The hair accentuates the dress really well by keeping it light, airy, fun. Her golden Louboutins also bolstered her winnings... you just can't lose with RED BOTTOMS. The clutch is a nice touch, too.

Kellie Pickler was cool, but the look was just a little on the plain side.

Billboard Music Awards 2012 Fashion Recap

Now you know that I can't forget about paying homage to the fashion at the Billboard Music Awards last night. Since there weren't a lot of stellar fashion trends last night just from the women, I included some men in here as well. I don't know if it's just me, but it seems like there weren't a lot of big names there that were that memorable on the red carpet. Anywho, here's who made my Dressed List.


Brandy - Looked amazing in this Herve Leger by Max Azria dress that fit so perfectly with her afro hair and just the look and feel of the music awards.

Katy Perry - Looked celestial in this Bluemarine purple gown. Congrats on being the only female recognized to have five #1 hit singles!

Monica - Pulled an Angelina on the white carpet. Talk about blending in, she looked beautiful!

Alicia Keys - Looked so chic and elegant in this black Azzedine Alaia gown that fit her curves so perfectly. I love her funky updo too!

Jordin Sparks - Kept in the nude with this pretty Diane von Furstenburg dress. This beauty looked amazing that night!

Nelly Furtado - All I can say is I love this Alberta Ferretti dress! Maybe the necklace overpowered this dress a bit too much though...

Usher - Okay Usher, we know you look fly in this electric baby blue suit! Props to you sir!

Swizz Beatz - Oh you fancy uh? I am definitely feeling this cream suit!

Robin Thicke - Rockin' the checkered jacket is the svelte voice Robin Thicke! I like this funky style!

Eric Benet - There are so many patterns going on here, but somehow it works for Mr. Eric Benet!

Some fashion trends that were highlighted last night were checkered jackets, pastel and nude colors and...LEGS! Show off your hard work in the gym with your beautiful legs! You deserve it, but don't forget to WORK IT!

I'm always a fan of Monica, especially always a fan of NEW LOOKS.

Artist BRANDY Spotted Earlier At Wendy Williams Show In Red YSL Platform Heels

Check out artist BRANDY looking sexy, professional (yes, 'cuz she's wearing TWEED), and chic as she entered the WENDY WILLIAMS show backstage.

I took notice of her FIRE-RED YSL (Yves Saint Laurent) platform cap-toe heels, as well as her amazing performance on B.E.T.'s 'THE GAME' Season 5 premiere!

BRANDY Does Alter-Ego Photo Shoot with Derek Blanks (1st High Fashion of Its Kind)

Now, I'm sure that many of you out there have heard of Derek Blanks, especially if you're in the world of fashion and photography. Well, Derek Blanks is a highly acclaimed photographer famous for his 'alter-ego' photo shoots, where the person challenges 'the other side of them.'

Check out music artist Brandy in what is said to be the first 'high fashion story' of the Derek Blanks collection. Usually, there are alter ego pictures that the Blanks group develop, but none like having a series of pictures from beginning to end, from TRAGEDY to TRIUMPH.

I thought that this was really good... a great tie in to a high fashion magazine. I definitely would like a shoot with Derek Blanks; I got the knack and talent for it. Seriously.

Solange Knowles as "Hippie Girl" and Brandy as "Red Soles Girl"

Solange Knowles was performing at an ELLE event recently, wearing clothes with a '70s Hippie kind of vibe. Her style is very different from Beyonce's (who is her sister) and often consists of sometimes outlandish and clothing evoking a certain time period (like the outfit above).

Solange looks cool and fun so I'll give her that. I'm also liking the Native boots that she's rocking in the second picture.

 

Next is Brandy (singer, dancer (Dancing With The Stars), actor (sitcom 'Moesha')) who is today the "Red Soles Girl" as she is spotted with some Christian Louboutin denim Pigalle Studded Pumps for appx. $1,000 (varied slightly in upscale retail stores).

You like it?? I know I do, 'cuz there's nothing like a lady with some sexy shoes; the whole vibe of the room just changes. MMMM.... *LoL*
