Excerpt from Fashion Bomb Daily: The Best Gowns At 2012 MET GALA!

Who looked BEST?

This (pic) is an excerpt from Fashion Bomb Daily, via the 2012 Met Institute of Art Costume Gala. Many celebs came out to showcase some of their best look, often seen photographed with the designer of the gown. Now, I've posted four pics above of Paula Patton, Solange Knowles, Rihanna, and Beyonce, and I'm going to grade each of them.

First is Paula; she's every bit sweet and flowery with her personality, smile, and that stunning iridescent pink dress by Vera Wang. She gets an A- for that.

Next is Solange; she's in a class all by herself with her diva-like, Diana Ross hair with her sophisicated yellow dress by Rachel Roy. She gets a B for that.

Rihanna is next; WHAAAAAT HAPPENED BABY??! The dress, by Tom Ford, is cool with it's croc print, but the cut is boring even by Rihanna's standards... and the hair?? She gets a C- for that.

Beyonce? Gown by Ty Hunter. BEY? A.

SOLANGE KNOWLES In New Photo Shoot; Looks GREAT... From The Forehead Down...

Check out SOLANGE KNOWLES in this picture. I think she looks graceful and like a natural-born princess with her cerulean sequined gown and leopard Louboutins, but I really don't know what is that on her head.

Solange Knowles Says Her Style Is 'Inspired by Diana Ross'

Solange Knowles is known for her contrasting career moves from her bigger (literally) sister Beyonce. While both are in music, Bey is an international superstar while Solange is more preferred to doing deejaying and small-town gigs (don't get it twisted, Solange makes very good money from DJ-ing and Dereon).

One inspiring thing from Solange is that she says her style, like the one above, is inspired by Diana Ross (but doesn't she kind of look like TRACEE ELLIS ROSS?) See what else she had to say about Diana:

Diana is the quite obvious one. If you look at pictures of her in the ’60s, ’70s, through the ’80s, she embodied everything about that era in such a timeless way. Her hair is a whole other conversation! And seeing photos of my mother from the ’60s and ’70s, she was a total rebel with her style. She had extremely fine hair and washed it with detergent to coarsen it up and had this amazing Afro.

Fash, Crash, and Burn: Solange, Cassie, and Selita Ebanks HAIR FAIL!!

Ya know, it's cool to change up the hairstyle every once in a while, but there are extremes to which one shouldn't cross.

Just look at the photo above of Solange Knowles, Cassie, and Selita Ebanks. NOW.... I really hope that this HAIR was just for a party. Actually, it was for a Carol's Daughter launch and I don't know if that was supposed to be the look for the event. I do hope they did something 'bout that hair after the event, especially Solange.

All I can say that's nice is... PRETTY COOL OUTFITS, LADIES!

HOORAY!! Solange Knowles Finally Finds A Look That Works For Her

This is a look I can give TWO THUMBS UP. Because before... Solange was coming off as a little strange and set far apart from her superstar sister, Beyonce.

Again, this look works!!

Solange Knowles as "Hippie Girl" and Brandy as "Red Soles Girl"

Solange Knowles was performing at an ELLE event recently, wearing clothes with a '70s Hippie kind of vibe. Her style is very different from Beyonce's (who is her sister) and often consists of sometimes outlandish and clothing evoking a certain time period (like the outfit above).

Solange looks cool and fun so I'll give her that. I'm also liking the Native boots that she's rocking in the second picture.

 

Next is Brandy (singer, dancer (Dancing With The Stars), actor (sitcom 'Moesha')) who is today the "Red Soles Girl" as she is spotted with some Christian Louboutin denim Pigalle Studded Pumps for appx. $1,000 (varied slightly in upscale retail stores).

You like it?? I know I do, 'cuz there's nothing like a lady with some sexy shoes; the whole vibe of the room just changes. MMMM.... *LoL*

BEYONCE, Please Talk To Your Sis Solange-- She's A lil' TOO Adventurous w/ Her Style!

Beyonce was spotted at the same place where her husband Jay-Z was performing. And while Beyonce looks sexy and...okay in her floral/animal print dress... what in the ish in SOLANGE wearing...especially on her head??!

I really don't want to be one to judge, and I try to refrain from that because it's the right thing to do..but sometimes YOU JUST GOTTA CALL SUMTHIN' OUT!!!
