B.E.T.'s 2012 'Rip The Runway' Tonight!! (UPDATE; Includes REVIEW and Grade Of Show)

B.E.T.'s 'Rip The Runway' is a relatively young show that has really taken FASHION to another level by bringing it to the national airwaves (hence other competitors like NBC's 'Fashion Star'). The hosts for this year is Pooch Hall ('Derwin' from 'The Game') and supermodel Selita Ebanks.

If you know me, then you MUST know I'm all eyes and ears on this show. Guests are out-of-this-world fashion designers, as well as performers like Diggy Simmons and Jeremih, Estelle, Lil' Kim, Wale, and more.

Update of 'Rip The Runway' 3/21/2012:

Rip The Runway was a very exciting show to behold, with performers in the midst of models strutting down the runway. Lots of Louboutins and Steve Maddens were spotted on the runway. Female models had OH SO MUCH beauty (mmm...) and the curvy girls who wore COLOR-BLOCKING clothes truly represented; a high point of the night. The male models, looking like straight out of a Sean John and GQ spread, carried tons of SWAGGER.

LaQuan Smith and the debut of Sass by Selita was also a high point.

On the downside, the show didn't deliver as much BANG as I thought it would. The decor, the background, the runway design, the hype crowd WON me over. The distraction was the performers all up on the runway with the models; I think the runway should be LEFT for the models while the performers do their shot 'off-center' like Robin Thicke did. Another distraction was I was hoping that the performers/models wouldn't bump into each other.

'Rip The Runway' celebrated urban designers but it seemed to be missing something; I'm honestly not exactly sure what it was. Was it that the program was too short (I didn't want it to end)? Was it the hosts (I thought Selita and Pooch were GREAT, but I would've preferred a little more behind-the-scenes interaction)? Was it that Angela Simmons was the only celeb to do a makeover on ONE girl (I wanted more makeovers for more girls)?

I shouldn't have to feel like I enjoyed NBC's 'Fashion Star' more than BET's 'Rip The Runway'.

You decide for yourself. The grade I give: B-

I Never Get Tired Of Looking At This Interesting Pic Of Lil' Kim; Reminds Me Of Nicki Minaj!

This picture is a couple months old, but check out Lil' Kim in this promo for her album. If you thought for a second that this was Nicki Minaj, you're HALF-RIGHT because nicki does this kind of thing too, with elongated limbs to mimic a Barbie-esque doll.

COOOOL... it's kind of fun to watch these two battle their popularity out. But let's face it, Lil' Kim may have staying power because she's been in the game a while, but Nicki is RULING THE ROOST with her style right now. PERIOD.

What is homegirl DOING????!!!

Lil' Kim was already fine when she was in the '90s and early 2000's. But I swear... as soon as the mid-decade hit (2005), she started chopping up her good looks with BLOWN plastic surgery, skin bleaching, and bad spray tan; now she looks orange, the same hue as Magda from 'There's Something About Mary.'

Please don't do anymore to yourself, Lil' Kim...

At the rate that she's going, she will be unrecognizable in 5 years. The only thing that I will commend her on is the low-cut dress and shoes; I'll give her THAT.

OMG!! LIL' KIM Doesn't Look Like Lil' Kim Anymore!!!!

*SIGH* What is.... What... LIL' KIM... why??? She just ain't been the same ever since Nicki Minaj came out. We all know that Kim was a lil' outlandish and very vulgar at times, but this one just doesn't make any sense. She was spotted at Quo Nightclub singing some song (I don't know, I'm just here to talk about this DRAG QUEEN thing she got going on).

Also, I ALMOST THOUGHT she was wearing a mask. That... ladies and gentlemen... is Lil' Kim's real face! The skin bleaching, the plastic surgery, ugh... natural beauty is really KEY... and reserved for the not-so-attractive.

I spotted Lil' Kim on Vlad TV. It said she posted a couple of pics on Twitter wishing everybody a Happy New Year. But that's not what I'm concerned about. I'm concerned about why she continues to keep altering her face with plastic surgery??! She looked just fine before, but you see all the changes she made: nose job, cheek lift, chin job, eye job, and skin bleaching (WHAT?! Be proud to be black!!)

Of course I'm minding my own business (it's my business to blog about these things--- I CAAARE for the good welfare of people. Lil' Kim doesn't need the plastic surgery...honestly. I don't think she realizes that she's turning into one of the Jackson family members.
