Waka Flocka Flame Covered In Tats + Pharrell In His Own Dope Style

Two rappers... two different styles. One full of tats and HIP-HOP. One more vibrant in style and less tats. Yup, it's Waka Flocka Flame and Pharrell.

Fash, Crash, and Burn: PHARRELL WILLIAMS' Half-Street/Half-Couture Look... Umm...

OKAY.

So where do I begin? Pharrell Williams is one of my go-to guys on laid-back-fashion-while-still-looking-sharp, but this look here just seemed to miss the mark. First of all, the winter hat and the no-socks are a clash.

Was the winter hat to hide Pharrell newly BLONDE hair? Was the no-socks thing an attempt to be more summer-like? Who dressed this man, a wacky stylist, or the man himself??

A lot of questions come into play... but anyway... sorry Pharrell, I like your usual clothes, but this is FASH, CRASH, and BURN territory for an event such as the CFDA.

Famed Photographer Annie Leibovitz Shoots Gap Hong Kong Ad Ft. Pharrell Williams

There's just something about photographer Annie Leibovitz's work. She just seems to effortlessly capture the essence of a moment without making anything seem 'staged'.

Check out Pharrell Williams of N.E.R.D. doing a Gap Hong Kong ad, which was shot by Leibovitz. Pharrell has his usual dressed-down, never ragged, 'I'm Just Me' - kind of look. He wears the red Gap hoodie, faded jeans, and his customized boots.

...And there's Great Annie in the middle. What BIG FEET you have! Ok movin' on...

LA in a Day Event - 1010 Wilshire

On Thursday, March 29th, I had the opportunity to cover a Spring Fashion Show and Cocktail Party event called "LA in a Day" presented by The Los Angeles Urban League Young Professionals. The posh event was held at 1010 Wilshire right in the heart of DTLA, the views were just spectacular.

If you don't know, I help cover events alongside CEOTV, where we primarily help fellow entrepreneurs promote their business. Nonetheless it was great being front and center for the entire event. So many beautiful people looking fly as always, made me wish that I was more dressed for the occasion, but it was probably a good thing since it was freezing that night! I mean, when you're on the rooftop at night, what else is to be expected?

Overall, it was a great event! I had the pleasure of interviewing a good number of people, even Ralph Diesel, one of the co-founders of Royal Dynamite. Too bad Pharrell Williams couldn't be there, but his new line of liqueor called Qreme was one of the sponsors. I had both the Strawberry and Peach Qreme, I mean I wish I had more, especially since they were complimentary plus delicious.

Pharrell Williams and Diddy In 'Spot-On' Tuxs for 2012 Oscars

It's Tuesday, and I'm still talking about the 2012 Oscars. It was definitely a fashion-filled night. I don't watch the Oscars for the awards but for the fashion (There's many of you like that, huh?)

I've been talking about dresses, and heels, and gowns... but there are male readers, too! So guys, check out these tuxs that Pharrell Williams of N.E.R.D. and Diddy wore. I liked Pharrell's look the best.

This is how a suit SHOULD fit, guys. If a suit is literally hanging off of you, you are NOT cool; you look CRAZY. *LoL*

Pharrell Williams' BIKER/ ROCKER/ CAP'N Look; Crazy But Cool

This is WHOA on so many levels, considering that Pharrell's (N.E.R.D.) style is usually demure but makes a statement as well.

But this is a stand-out statement; Pharrell was spotted at Art Basel in Miami Beach, and I guess he wanted to show off the creative, artistic side, which is comprised of several different items: A black biker jacket, army green T-shirt, buffalo plaid shirt tied around the waist, cut-off jeans for shorts, and customized Timberlands.

He also wore a slightly different look that included a RED biker jacket.

I thought the entire look was CRAZY WEIRD, but still CRAZY to spark interest as Pharrell's style causes the viewer 's eyes to go up and down and to study the different items, items that can be singled out and worn in the viewer's own way...

'Cuz truth be told... this look ain't for everybody.

CHESTER FRENCH - HARVARD GRADS WITH SOME SWAG

CHESTER FRENCH is an indie pop band consisting of two band members: David-Andrew "D.A" Wallach [lead vocalist & songwriter] and Maxwell Drummey [multi-instrumentalist & songwriter]. Meeting at Harvard University, they decided on their group name after the sculptor Daniel Chester French. In explaining how the band started, D.A. explains, "Chester French started when we were freshmen in college. Max wanted to start a group called Marilyn Manson, which is what he told me in the dining room. And I thought that was a great idea. So we realized there was a conflict, potentially, with the name, but the underlying concept was great and so that's what we've been trying to achieve ever since."

Early supporters of the group include Kanye West and Perez Hilton. Their demo even made it into the hands of Pharrell Williams and Jermaine Dupri. This resulted in a bidding war between Kanye and Pharrell, in which Pharrell ultimately won. He says, "There's something at Star Trak records that we have been very excited about and there's, I don't know. Of course D.A. would want me to sit here and tell you how much of a crazy bidding war there was for them, as everybody in here knows D.A. But you know what? He's right. And if you think about it, think about where they come from and... okay! It's funny. But you know what? Think about it man. Like, Harvard grads? And then on top of that, there really was a bidding war and it really was incredible and we really lost our minds and you're really about to see a great, incredible show."

Since then their career has taken an unprecedented full throttle ride, touring with N.E.R.D., Matisyahu, and Lady Gaga. Chester French contains elements of pop, rock, and ultimately hip-hop. In regards to why hip-hop artists like their music, D.A. jokes, "They find it interesting that we're the first artists to wear whiteface all the time, publicly." Chester French will definitely be one of those names to hear in music's future career because not only are they talented, but many of their songs are undeniably catchy.

YES, It's OK to wear boots in the SUMMER--Summer boots, that is. Pharrell (N.E.R.D.) says so...

Did you just read my post title? Enough said.

People are so used to sticking with weather traditions that boots cannot be worn in the spring or summer, with the exception of rain boots. Of course, one cannot wear big chunky UGGS or other winter boots in the summer, you can look plain CRAZY. But wearing canvas boots or part canvas/part leather like PHARRELL WILLIAMS of N.E.R.D. did, you cannot go wrong.

I know I cannot go wrong if I pair up some canvas boots with my Dickies shorts or cargo shorts and a white or black tee. TRY IT GUYS!!!

PHARRELL WILLIAMS In BOOOOMB Fur Coat; PETA May Be Boilin' Mad Anyway...

Man, Pharrell Williams really defies age at 37, he also DEFIES PETA by wearing a giant fur coat on the red carpet... in March. (I think it's WOLF and FOX blend).

Fur coats are not really IN right now, but when they do come back--which I reckon very soon-- THAT is what I'll be wearing.

Check Pharrell's (N.E.R.D.) other 2011 styles:
