Adriana Francesca Lima was born on June 12, 1982 in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. At the tender age of 13, Adriana entered the Ford Supermodel of the World Contest, where her unique beauty, derived from her Native-Brazilian, African-Brazilian, Protuguese, French and Caribbean heritage, won her second place. Adriana is a Brazilian supermodel, best known as one of the faces of Victoria’s Secret. At the age of 15, she finished 1^st place in a Ford Supermodel of Brazil model search. Lima later followed with a 2^nd place finish in the 1996 Ford Supermodel of the World contest. Shortly after, Lima moved to New York City, and eventually moved on from Ford, signing with Elite Model Management.

Adriana Francesca Lima (born June 12, 1982 in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil) is a Brazilian supermodel, best known as one of the faces of Victoria’s Secret. At the age of 15, she finished 1^st place in a Ford Supermodel of Brazil model search. Her early career consisted mostly of fashion editorial work (with early appearances in international editions of Vogue and Marie Claire in 1997/1998), as well as runway work (Christian Lacroix, Valentino, and others). Lima’s first break came when she was featured in a Vassarette billboard in Times Square. Her print career followed, and like many other famous names (Claudia Schiffer, Laetitia Casta, Eva Herzigova). Lima then built upon her entry, doing more print work (Maybelline, bebe, Mossimo, BCBG) and gracing the cover and editorials of more high fashion magazines (Harper’s Bazaar, ELLE). Probably best known for her Victoria’s Sectret work and Angel status (along with Heidi Klum and Gisele), Lima first graced the VS runway in 2000, and was the show opener for the 2003 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

THE REAL VICTORIA'S SECRET MODELS

So I tuned into the Victoria's Secret fashion show that aired on CBS last Tuesday. Can we just stop for a moment and ponder where the time has went? I remember that time last year when the fashion show was on, and BOOM! HERE AGAIN!

Tuning into the hour broadcast was okay, I really liked the romantic New Orleans theme but couldn't care for the superhero theme because the outfits looked ridic cheap. While I was watching the show, I noticed a lot of the Victoria's Secret models don't seem like they're held up to par with the classic VS models.

First and foremost, Victoria's Secret is known for casting models who are in shape and curvy, looking very healthy. But I noticed a lot of these models looked so skinny, where their bones were popping out! I think my calf was the size of their thigh! If they looked that skinny on television, imagine how they look like in real life!

To keep the Victoria's Secret tradition alive, I compiled a list of the current VS models who are keeping this brand up to it's standards:
