Joshua Kissi of 'Street Etiquette' and his African Tribal Paint Shirt

According to Joshua Kissi of popular style blog STREET ETIQUETTE, African Tribal Paint shirts are cyclical, appearing on the runway every couple of years. But it's definitely showing up now. Check out what Joshua Kissi has to say:

If the wrist accouterments and tribal rings weren’t evidence enough, my Ghanaian heritage heavily influences my style. That influence is also evident with print shirts such as the one featured below. There’s a subtle distinction between traditional African fabric originating from the continent and the type manufactured out of inspiration. The latter may discourage some people, but it is still a catalyst in creating awareness of these history-rich prints and designs.

Ciara At Paris Fashion Week (Barbara Bui Fash Show)

Fashion Week is very important to stylists, designers, fashionistas, and the like. It takes place all over the world as fashion is celebrated. It's also a star-studded, global event, and speaking of that, check out artist/dancer Ciara in ALL-BLACK at the Barbara Bui Spring/Summer 2012 fash show in Paris.

I like the whole CATWOMAN vibe; very daring in a 'field of flowers.' And check out the long, blonde ponytail.

ZINC LOUNGE AT SHADE HOTEL MANHATTAN BEACH

So when I took my parents out for sushi about a month ago, we were walking around this little shopping center at the beginning of the pier when I noticed this cute little lounge. It is actually a part of Shade Hotel called Zinc Lounge.

I came with a few friends to just chill and catch up, and it was the perfect place to do so! There was plenty of seating areas available, and yes you don't need a reservation or special privileges to sit there. Once you walk inside and you see an open space, you can go right ahead and sit down!

The menu of small plates was minimal compared to the list of drinks. They all seemed so delicious I had no idea what to get. I opted for the 'Strawberry Pop' which again to my disappointment in a champagne glass. From this day forward, I will never order a drink that says to have champagne in it, because it will be in a champagne glass and I want a real size cocktail drink! It also didn't help that it wasn't that good, but I guess it was pretty strong? I felt a little buzz after that one drink. My friends got a 'Honey Money' which was good and a 'Pomegranite Kiss' which was served in an ICE GLASS and was UH-MAY-ZING!!! Totally recommend those two drinks, just not mine. My friend and I also shared the calamari which was ok, and the Pizza Gregorio which was pretty bomb. Most of the prices of each drink/item are about $10 or more.

Overall, I like this place...a lot! Not only is it pretty close to my house, but it's so chill and pretty inside. I am totally coming back with friends as a little getaway hangout to catch up and get some drinks.

Beyonce & The Baby Bump Strolls Thru NYC

Just can't wait for JAYONCE to come into the world. Beyonce was spotted stepping out of a custom luxury conversion van to attend an undisclosed meeting. She looked so graceful in her sturdy-looking pumps (she's walking for TWO) and her plaid dress that has a subtle belt at the waist. The orange purse may or may not be from Hermes (I'll keep you posted).

BEY's look comes together quite nicely; she just looks so alluring for a pregnant woman. A theme song for her right here would be 'Halo'.

FLOYD MAYWEATHER's All-White Car Collection... Worth $2M!!

Check out Money Mayweather flaunting his winnings (about $40 MILLION after the fight with Victor Ortiz). Of course, this is not ALL from his winnings but an accumulation of hundreds of millions of dollars over the years.

Check the all-white collection (I love white cars myself) worth about $2 million.

MATT KEMP RUDE BOY BOY GET IT UP

MATT KEMP...okay I knew he was cute, but dang I didn't know he is THAT FIONE!!! At work I was going through a whole bunch of fashion sites and came upon the urban one where it had an article about LA Dodger Matt Kemp being featured. Just seeing one picture from the ad, made me click it and boy did I want to find out more about him. This year he is most likely going to be awarded MVP of the Year because he's playing so well. Let's go find out more about this Oklahoma native :)

On being a professional baseball player...

“I’ve been playing baseball since I was four years old. Now, we’re grown men playing a little kid’s sport, so why not have fun doing it, and get paid some good money to do it, too? I’m living the dream, man. Not everybody gets to go to work everyday and love what they do."

Being from Oklahoma and living that L.A. lifestyle, things change here and there such as your fashion sense and tastes in certain things...

“Yeah, it’s a little different living out here. There are good restaurants. Sushi—I never would have thought I’d be eating sushi. Like when I first moved out here, I was like, ‘I’m not eating that shit. Sushi? That’s raw fish. I’m not putting that shit in my mouth. It’s not going to happen.’ But one day, I would be around people that would say I’ve got to try new things. So I give everything a chance, you know? And fortunately I tried sushi one day and it actually became one of my favorite foods. So, I definitely can get a little bougie. We all change. I’m from Oklahoma. Back home is a little behind because it’s a slower city. It’s not a big city. But it’s definitely growing now that we have an NBA team3. We just got a Saks Fifth. I’m happy about that. Saks Fifth Avenue. I’m going to be going there. Oklahoma ain’t never had one of those.”

On his one weakness: SHOPPING...

“Yeah, that’s (Barney's) one of my favorites. Shoes and clothes, man. I like to look nice when I go places. I think we all do for the most part. You want to walk around feeling good about yourself. In the past year-and-a-half, two years, I got into being around fashionable people. I started to enjoy the things that other people I was around enjoyed like clothes and shoes. It’s fun. I think it’s fun to go into a store and try to figure out what to put with some shoes or your outfit or whatever, and rock it. I’m like a chameleon, man. I can switch it up. I can one day be wearing some Jordans or nice retro sportswear with some jeans, a shirt, and a hat, and make that look nice. And then I can wear a collared shirt with some RRL jeans.” Some of his favorite brands include Lanvin and YSL.

On his shopping budgets...

“Sometimes, there’s times. You’ve got to set a little budget for every month or two for yourself. If you go over that budget, it means that you have do less next month. It’s all about saving money. But looking good at the same time.”

After dating world superstar Rihanna for about a year seven months after the abusive end to her relationship with Chris Brown, he opens up a little about love in general...

“I’ve been in love twice, Only twice. That’s enough at 26.” That's 4 years older than me (the magic number)! I guess we are meant to be haha.

In what he looks for in a girl...

“I like confident people. I like positive people. Somebody that can make me a better person. Somebody that makes me want to be a better person. Smart. Pretty, of course. Somebody that is close with their family and loves their family just as much as I love my family. Somebody that knows how to dress. It just boils down to being confident and being comfortable in your own skin and the person that you are.”

In what he prefers his girl's style...

“Definitely somebody that can help me [shop]. I love looking and seeing what kind of shoes women wear. I think that tells me if a person knows what they’re doing. If I like your shoes, and you’re pretty, that’s a good quality. As well as being confident.”

MATT KEMP IS DEFINITELY MVP IN MY BOOK! Not only is he a good baseball player, but you can tell his appreciation for life extends far whether it be adaptation to different lifestyles and doing what he loves. It doesn't hurt that he also loves fashion and takes notice in how a girl expresses herself through fashion. It seems like all those qualities he likes in a female point directly to me haha. HOLLER MATT KEMP!!!

PICS Of Rihanna's 'We Found Love' Music Vid Bleached Denim Look

RIHANNA is usually known for her risque outfits and notable 'COUTURE' not 'CUSTOM MADE' get-ups like Lady GaGa and other artists. Not sure yet what label Rihanna's wearing on the set of her new music video ft. Calvin Harris, We Found Love, but it's quite nice.

Location: Belfast, Ireland

Rihanna is seen in an updo, bleached denim skirt and bra, ripped stockings, crazy platform shoes, and sitting then escaping from a muscle car, all reminiscent of the '60s. The look is also a lil' throwback to Rihanna's RATED R days. Can't wait to see the whole COMIC BOOK/OLD FASHIONED MOVIE concept of this video.

Update: Denim outfit is by Jeremy Scott.

Janet Jackson.... Illuminati....Really?? Janet Wears 'The Eye' To Conrad Murray Trial

As many of you know, the Dr. Conrad Murray trial started Tuesday, and had every news coverage there. Since I cover the fashion part, I must say how beautiful Janet Jackson looks with her all-black attire, sunglasses, and relaxed, pinned-up hair.

But one thing cameramen took notice of was the necklace Janet wore around her neck. It was a necklace with an EYE on it. It's usually known as an ILLUMINATI symbol. Now, I don't know what's going on with that and I don't want to judge what she's wearing it for but whoo... some folks really need to understand that ILLUMINATI MESS.

AWWW... SHOULD'VE BEEN MORE CAREFUL....

WHITE GIRLS GOT CURVES

It's been portrayed in media that white women don't necessarily possess the gift of being curvy. But these women were blessed with these gifts in some way or the other. Some may not be 100% real (such as the girls), but the rest sure is and that's the most important ;) Check out my little list and see if you agree.

KATY PERRY - She truly embodies the California Girl ideal with a bubbly personality, independent, and beautiful of course. Her spunk and playful personas really bring attention to her wonderful assets of the ladies, HANDS DOWN BEST RACK. She can be our teenage dream 24/7.

KATE WINSLET - talk about the most natural curves, she really has everything going for her. When I look at her pictures I'm like how does her body look so beautiful, effortless, feminine and sexy? Many of us wish we didn't have to work so hard to get those au naturale curves, better yet just be born with those GIFTS.

SCARLETT JOHANNSON - talk about an HOURGLASS figure! Her body reminds me of the old starlet Hollywood days where the women were glamorous and they're body were just naturally curvy and ultra feminine. It doesn't hurt having a beautiful face with that amazing body. Girl look at that body!!!

COCO - maybe she was the woman who brought back the "curvy" in the millenium era, but there's no denying this white girl got curves. Yes her boobs may be fake, but her booty is 100% real, believe that!!! That's just too much to handle!!!

CHRISTINA HENDRICKS - Every time I see her, especially on the red carpet this is what comes to mind: VA-VA-VR00M!!! Everything is just all up in your face without being intentional. She's got curves for days and that red fire engine hair calls attention to her famous assets as well.

JESSICA BIEL - I absolutely love her body! It's the perfect mix of being ultra feminine with the curves and just enough muscle to give her the ultimate toned body. Everything about her is just so natural and effortless which is utterly amazing.

LACEY SCHWIMMER - Who wouldn't notice how curvalicious she is on Dancing with the Stars?! I mean yes she's a professional dancer, but she is actually thick, curvy, and has a toned body because of constantly dancing. Talk about Best of Both Worlds!!!

Now I would call myself an appreciative human of all sorts. I appreciate a woman just like a man for how they look, nothing more. These ladies got curves and that hourglass figure that many of their counterparts don't have which is a blessing. Curvy is much more preferable especially nowadays for depicting healthy feminine traits and is ultra sexy in general. Hope you enjoyed my little list, sweet dreams! ;)

Car of the Day: 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera

Wow, check out this hott car. It's 2012, it's a Porsche... and it's RED.

The redesigned 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera has evolved over 48 years, becoming more and more sleeker and sophiscicated. Not to mention sporty, too.

Here's some excerpts and pics below from http://seriouswheels.com and Porsche press release mentioning this awesome car:

At 48, the Porsche 911 Carrera is younger than ever. The completely redesigned seventh-generation sports car icon is stepping into the limelight with its sleek and stretched silhouette, exciting contours and precisely designed features. Yet from every angle it is unmistakably a 911, holding true to the Porsche 911 Carrera ‘evolution, not revolution’ design philosophy...

To complement the modern exterior design, Porsche designers created an interior reminiscent of the Carrera GT. The driver is now even more closely integrated within the cockpit thanks to the rising center console and high-mounted shift lever or gear selector located close to the steering wheel. As with the exterior, classic Porsche elements abound inside. Present is the instrument cluster with five round gauges – one of them a high resolution multifunction screen, and of course the central tachometer and the ignition lock to the left of the steering wheel...

At the same time there are performance improvements in both models. The 911 Carrera S with PDK accelerates from 0 to 60 in 4.1 seconds. Using the Launch Control function of the optional Sport Chrono Package cuts that to 3.9 seconds. The 911 Carrera with PDK needs only 4.4 seconds to sprint from a standing start to 60 mph (4.2 seconds when using the optional Sport Chrono Package’s Launch Control function). Top-track speed for the 911 Carrera S and 911 Carrera is 188 mph and 179 mph, respectively...

The first new 911 models will arrive in U.S. dealerships beginning in February of 2012. The new 911 Carrera Coupe will have a base MSRP of $82,100, while the 911 Carrera S Coupe’s base MSRP will be $96,400 (excluding destination). Both models will include substantial additional equipment when compared to the previous models...
